David Rybie
Massage Therapist

I started my massage journey in a more non-conventional way than most, through karate. I started karate at the age of five years old and ended up competing internationally as a teenager. I started teaching karate as a way to continue educating people the discipline and respect involved in the practice. While teaching I noticed the strain practicing martial arts put on my students and wanted to help them address those issues, which led me to learn massage.

While I was at school, through my training, I learned that I could help more people through massage than just my students. I graduated from CDI College in 2018 and started volunteer work with the Edmonton Prospects baseball team. After the season, I took a job massaging full time, helping as many people as I could. Over the past 5 years I have developed a better understanding of the body and use what I learnt to control the depth of my massage.

I specialize in deep tissue, but I am able to read the muscle tension and any additional indicators to reduce or increase my pressure as needed. Additionally I also specialize in sports therapy, driven by my work with karate and volunteering. I also provide maternity, pre-natal, and post-natal massages as I believe less stress on the mother can help with a healthy child. In order to bring more benefits to my clients I have also taken courses in hot stones, cupping, and kinesio-taping and can incorporate as needed.

Michelle Sorensen
Massage Therapist

Hi! I’m Michelle!

My intuitive touch is the foundation of my work—it’s what allows me to tune in to what each person’s body needs and tailor treatments that make a real difference. I’ve always been passionate about anatomy and understanding how the body works, and I love helping people get to the root of their pain so they can start feeling better.

I’m especially drawn to hip and shoulder issues—probably because I’ve dealt with my own injuries in those areas and know how life-changing real relief can be.

Lately, my focus has shifted more toward Rapid NeuroFascial Reset (RAPID NFR)—an incredible, fast-acting treatment that works with the nervous system to release tension and pain at the source. It’s the most effective tool I’ve found for helping people move better and feel better, often in just one session.

I still offer therapeutic and relaxation massage, but my true passion is helping people recover from injury and break free from chronic pain—especially through RAPID. I’d love to welcome you to Bodiworks and support you on your healing journey!

Ramona Alldis
Massage Therapist

Ramona is a skilled Registered Massage Therapist specializing in Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Children & Youth, and Relaxation Massage. A proud mother of three and a compassionate caregiver, she began her healthcare journey in 2001 as a healthcare aide, gaining over two decades of experience in elder care. Her passion for wellness and rejuvenation through massage therapy led her to pursue a 2,200-hour massage therapy program, where she deepened her knowledge of patient-centered care.

Although her massage therapy career was initially put on hold to focus on elder care, Ramona continued practicing from home over the past few years. Now, she's excited to fully commit to her role as an RMT at Bodiworks, helping clients achieve their health goals through personalized, therapeutic care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Outside of work, Ramona enjoys spending time with her family and pets—including a dog, a cat, and even a tortoise! She loves gardening, outdoor activities, and cheering on her favorite hockey team. Her family shares her love for nature, often enjoying camping, fishing, and exploring the mountains together.

Mark Schatz
Chiropractor

I am currently in my 25th year of providing chiropractic services. The chiropractic profession has been a great career choice for me, as I have always had a keen interest in science and a fascination in the complexity and resilience of the human body. I grew up in the province of Saskatchewan where I completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biochemistry. My education continued in Toronto with the completion of the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2000. Since then, I have practiced in both sole practitioner and multidisciplinary clinics in Edmonton, Calmar, and Whitecourt, Alberta. I enjoy lifelong learning and continue to take courses and learn new skills to help me gain new professional and personal skills and abilities.

I have extensive experience working with all age groups ranging from infants to senior citizens. This may involve working with general to complex neuromusculoskeletal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, or work-related trauma. I feel that each patient presents as a unique individual with a complex set of healthcare problems. I take the time to get to know each patient and ask lots of questions. I take pride in being very thorough in my quest to investigate the cause of a problem and then clearly communicating it to each patient.

I feel that it is important that every patient take an active role in understanding what is wrong, why it happened, and how to get better and prevent re-occurrence. I am always open and available to answer any questions that patients may have. I also believe in the importance of being part of a healthcare team and look forward to working in a collaborative manner with each patient’s various health and wellness providers.

My goal is to get you quickly feeling better and back to all the important activities that you love to do!
